My Bio

“Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” – Proverbs 27:17

I’m grateful for the unique and diversified professional opportunities I’ve been afforded including managing affluent client wealth as well as building and operating wealth management businesses in Canada and the United States. I’ve also advised family offices & wealth enterprises, designed asset management platforms, taught wealth management seminars at university business schools, and acted as an expert advisor to legal counsels for breach of investment fiduciary claims.

These experiences have not only shaped my convictions about the stewardship of family wealth but also highlighted the importance of mentorship within the family wealth profession. The practice of mentorship is a timeless and universal human custom that pre-dates Ancient Greece, despite being named by the Greek poet Homer.  It’s a tradition of relational knowledge transfer, character shaping & generational continuity through the guiding & influencing of individuals. I believe it’s the missing ingredient within the family wealth profession today.

I’m an alumnus of the Odette School of Business at the University of Windsor where I earned my Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Business Administration degrees. Prior to attending the University of Windsor, I completed a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Western Ontario.

I hold the designation Chartered Financial Analyst through the CFA Institute, and a Certificate in Coaching & Mentoring through the Schulich School of Business. I’m a past member of the Advisory Board of the Odette School of Business at the University of Windsor and a past Director of the Board of the Portfolio Management Association of Canada.

My interests are biblical theology, self-defense in an Israeli martial art known as Krav Maga, and training as a dog handler with my two German Shepherds.
